In traditional worship, our chancel choir leads worship by presenting an anthem each week. The choir is open to all who enjoy singing. Also at traditional worship, our hand bell choir plays at least once per quarter. In the early service, opportunity abounds for soloists, and duets to provide special music. The chancel choir practices each Wednesday evening (in Fall and Winter, 6:30 p.m., in Spring and Summer, 7:30 p.m.) The Hand Bell Choir practices each Sunday at 4:15 p.m.
Our non-traditional service is led by the Praise Band. All are welcome to participate.
Another musical opportunity for women is Heart and Soul. This is an ecumenical group drawn from our church as well as First Baptist and St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church. They rehearse each Monday afternoon at Calhoun First UMC.
We strive to lead others into His divine presence through thanksgiving, praise and worship. We are a ministry that seeks to be relevant and inclusive, reaching a wide audience with a diversity of styles.
